    Cons

    Overall Tire/Tyre Review

The Dunlop D803 hooks up well in mud. Goes through rutted and rooted areas with very little deflection. Tire also lasts a long time, up to twice as long as a motocross tire. Value is also praised.

5 reviews, 4.6 of 5 stars. One rider reports that they won their class, in the muddiest race they have ever been involved in, bikes buried everywhere, tire kept hooking up. Another reports that the tire corners with minimal spinning or sliding, goes through rutted and rooted areas with very little deflection, in sand doesn’t squirm near as much as the D756. Rider from the Pacific Northwest reports going up and over slippery wet rocks and tree roots, no spinning, digging in or sliding. Another says if you ride a dirt bike you must try a trials tire, works on every surface except for deep, deep mud, and lasts twice as long as a knobby. On a KTM 300 – can get grip under any trail conditions, ran the last one for two years and it was hooking up on its last ride.

6 reviews. 4.8 of 5 stars. One rider says they get a season of use, tire shows some sidewall separation as it ages but does not adversely affect the tire. Another says they have been running the Dunlop D803 and get double the tire life as compared to motocross tires, has tried Pirelli, Michelin and IRC and like these the best for value and grip, have less side knobs so can’t hang the bike out sideways and expect the same grip. Another says the Dunlop D803 has incredible grip and are unbeatable for riding on steep, rocky surfaces and boulder fields.
