    Overall Tire/Tyre Review

The Avon VP2 Supersport front tire was the heaviest not just of the group, but of all the tires tested. The rear weighed just 1 ounce more than the lightest rear tire. However, the front tire delivered excellent feedback, you can feel every bump in the road. Good balance in terms of carcass rigidity, with good bump absorbtion while still providing stable high-speed handling. The tires take a while to get up to operating temperature. Grip was not a good as the competition. The price is also relatively high. Lap times were slowest of the group. The second review praises the front end feeling planted. The reviewers did not feel the tire had as much feel mid-corner and they had to be careful with the throttle coming out of lean to upright. Overall, did not feel like they could push these tires.

Heaviest front tire in the test. Rear one ounce heavier than lightest tire. Front delivered excellent feedback, with a good amount of tire flex. The tires are somewhat slow to warm up. Grip not quite as good as the rest of the group.

On the brakes the front felt planted. Have to be careful with initial crack of throttle, letting go three or four times at every corner in the wet. Even on dry it tended to spin up. The Avon VP2 Supersport was rated 6th of 8 tires in the wet, 5th of 8 tires in dry, 6th of 8 overall. Dry time 1.13.54, wet time 1.22.58.
