    Overall Tire/Tyre Review

A number of reviewers felt the Avon Storm 2 Ultra’s have more grip than Bridgestone BT 021′s. One of those was a person who does power wheelies. One of the tests on a BMW K1200S showed good bump absorbancy and good front end turn-in. Part of the test was at a track. They felt the tires warmed up quickly and handled well in the wet. They were able to get the tire to heat stress at the track, but this tire is not really meant for the track. In normal road use they found it hard to get the back to break free. Rear tire life in the test estimated at 6,000 miles. Recommended from people riding a 2000 Bandit 1200, ST1100, ST1300, recommended best tire on a 2007 ZX14R as compared to about 6 other tire brands.

5 reviews. Dry handling 84%, wet handling 80%, road feedback 84%, wear 92%, buy again 90%. On VFR – don’t feel the tire handles well in the wet, had rear break loose, takes a long time to get heat into them, front lacks feel. On a 900 blade – like them better than BT021, power wheelies on the way home from getting them fitted. On a Triumph Trophy 1200 – lasted well and inspire confidence, front wore out before rear. On a Honda ST1100 – good grip and seem to be lasting quite well.

On a BMW K1200S – good bump absorbancy, front easy to turn-in, neutral handling, predictable. Tires behave as well in wet as in dry. Ridden in British winter and handled well in the cold. Hope to get 6000 miles from the rear.

8 reviews. 4.8 of 5 stars. On a 2001 Honda ST-1100 – traction in wet is great. Another says grip is excellent, wear nice and evenly.

6 reviews. 4.1 of 5 stars. On a Guzzi Sport 1100 and Benelli Cafe Racer 1130 – more comfortable than a Q2 with no loss of grip. On a 2007 ZX14R – ridden 6 different brands and like these the best, great feel and long lasting. On a Honda ST1300 – turns in much quicker than BT020, tire grips well and has increased cornering speed. On a Honda ST1300 – 5000 mile trip, rain and heat, tire still looks good.
